He was trapped! Sarah was a vampire, but not a sun-shunning, undead fiend out for blood like you see seen in film. Sarah fed on pity and she had decided to use Bob to extract the greatest amount of pity possible. Sarah had harassed Bob unmercifully for weeks and, once rejected, she invented a depraved tale in which she was the victim. Bob stumbled and Sarah was there to turn it to her advantage. She fed him to a system that, in that area of Connecticut, was entrenched in gender stereotypes and sought to protect her even if it meant ignoring Bob’s evidence. She continued to attack him. She sought to destroy him. All he had done was care for her. Was there any bottom to her depravity? Could Bob find a way to convince anyone of the truth?
