About

Following the last harvest moon, a strange mist begins to rise at night, and no one seems to know why. DeShawn Lucas, a 24 year old loner, realizes that something is terribly wrong and begins keeping tabs on the growing number of missing persons, as well as on his neighbor and secret flame, Keneisha Dillon. After witnessing a murder in the street by an unidentifiable assailant, followed by a strange visitor in the hallway, he and Keneisha find themselves in what may be the end of the world as they know it, a world full of mutants. Pursued by ghastly monstrosities and finding the source of the mist, “the yellow”, their goal becomes mere survival, but the mist may have more in store for them.

Praise for this book

"This book has it all… monsters, superheroes, murder, and a little romance. Put me in mind of X-Men meets The Walking Dead (with monsters instead of zombies) and The Mist. I enjoyed the characters and the story."

"Overall, I believe the plot was very interesting and the creatures were disgusting, interesting and heartbreaking all in turn.

Following along Deshawn and Keneisha as they try to survive, make difficult choices and grow as individuals was a captivating and fun read. There were times, however, when the pacing was a bit slower. I think Uilleam wrote a great story and has wonderful potential as an author.

If you like not-quite-zombies/mutants, apocalypse and found family stories, this is a good one to pick up."
