Well thought out and poetic at times, I would recommend this to someone who wants the feel of a classic or “traditional” psycho killer/brainwashed cult horror story in a modern setting (but actually done well). It respects the reader’s intelligence and is paced well enough to both be exciting and the reader to digest and rebuild suspense after every turn. The writing style is uniquely dark and reminds me of Lovecraft at times. Clearly meant for an audience that enjoys and respects the art of writing and not just the story being told. If this book were written a few decades ago it would be considered a classic. (The Plastic Valley Monster)
"This book has it all… monsters, superheroes, murder, and a little romance. Put me in mind of X-Men meets The Walking Dead (with monsters instead of zombies) and The Mist. I enjoyed the characters and the story." (Dreadland)
