The Hypocrisy of It

The excuse for trying to commit social murder …

Killing a heart with vengeance …

Yucky.

But the true repugnance living in her life …

Those called friends …

She refused to see.

Leaving herself open to a tainted name for association,

And unable to protect herself because they had not told her to.

A degenerate openly showing the world the depths of his perversion,

One warned of but the warning ignored … again …

And she kept him, not love,

Though the creep’s hubris spoke to even deeper depravities,

Unspeakable thoughts and sins,

One who might casually put her or anyone else into a program,

And share her in secret rooms unknown,

No she would not protect herself,

Because they accepted him.

And that they accepted his behavior said theirs was likely similar,

Whispered that whomever she had chosen was the same,

Same minds, same values … no values,

Hiding degeneracy from her until she could not escape.

But she would not protect herself.

She would give in to it.

She would suffer the association because no one told her it was okay to say no.

The only one who was evil in her eyes was the one who’d loved her,

The one who would remain unforgiven forever, unloved, misunderstood,

The one who did not do what those she kept did,

Did not follow perversion.

Did not need nor want it.

But he was the demon to her,

Not the sleaze she kept.
