Those you chose are like NFL players. Anyone really into the sport watches college, because there they still have to play, have to try. But, once they make the big time, with the big paydays, they hardly ever really play, afraid of getting hurt and losing their trough. It’s all merchandising , attitude, and million dollar hype that drives it. It’s all concessions. And now college has been infected with the same lassitude.
Like the major players, those you choose do not strive for love, for you. They simply expect the payday, expect you to be wowed by their contracts and give them whatever they ask for, not wowed for their romance, their loyalty, or their love, of which they have little to none. But you don’t even choose the college players. No, you choose the former high school jocks, trying to relive their former glory forever, as you do through your obsession. They have the paydays, but they didn’t come through physical prowess and they were signed like Jordan Palmer … just because his brother went pro, though Jordan sucked ass and didn’t even try. And they don’t even play the sport. Their sport is lying, using, and pretending they provide valuable services, though what they really do is just what wealthy people don’t have the time or urgency to do themselves. Their game is perversion and appearance, trying to make up the prowess they never had.
You worship a game without heart, as you have no heart, and as you chose those without any heart. You don’t even try.
