Dirty Little Runaway

Run, run, run away,

Convince yourself departure will your conscience stay.

Go to the one who targeted you,

Placate him for nothing true,

A windswept courtship as fake as your glee,

Too fast, the timing speaks dishonesty.

But move, move, move on down,

Into the abyss, but out of town.

Never redeem yourself, make it worse,

As in your mind you have rehearsed.

What a foul heart leaves with lies,

It is not me, but yourself you should despise,

And whatever sleaze you’ve fallen for,

Who will not give you what you thought in store.

For a lying heart can never leave it behind,

Even when the body goes, it stays in the mind.

You have a debt you will always owe,

And in your heart it comes in tow.

So run, run, run to your new lie,

And when it falls apart your heart will die,

Because you do not belong anywhere but here,

With one whom you should have healed with dear.

You’re fake as a plastic rose,

And I guarantee that he is too, your heart knows.

Are you on your honeymoon?

Then why were you watching me, instead of your new goon?

You cannot run from what you owe,

And cannot love, it’s all for show.

But go, go , go seek your misery,

Because you know you should have been with me.
